Our Activities

Environment Conservation

Environment can be defined as a sum total of all the living and non-living elements and their effects that influence human life. While all living or biotic elements are animals, plants, forests, fisheries, and birds, non-living or abiotic elements include water, land, sunlight, rocks, and air. The environmental degradation is the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources which includes all the biotic and abiotic elements.
Natural resources such as air, water, coal, animals, plants , natural gas, sun light, etc are the parts of the environment that are highly important to humans, whether they are in one form or the other. Natural resources are available in nature itself, and humans have no say in making them.
Human activities have resulted in air pollution, global warming, habitat destruction, over exploitation of natural resources, soil erosion, desertification, ocean acidification and many other changes that are causing significant stress to ecosystems.
As the effects of climate change continue to impact the globe, precious, natural resources like fresh water, arable land and minerals are expected to become increasingly scarce, with significant implications for agriculture and food security, as well as the production of many new innovative technologies.
It is an emergency time to immediate act for protecting our environment for sustaining our planet, community and economy for present and future generation.
SAFER’s Initiative to conserve our Environment:
• Environmental awareness campaign
• Tree plantation
• Afforestation
• Climate mitigation activities
• Promotion of climate adaptation
• Soil and water conservation
• Promotion of Rainwater harvesting
• Natural resources conservation and management
• Promotion of Renewal Energy
• In-situ conservation: Protecting plants and animals within their natural habitats.
• Ex-situ conservation: Protecting the plants and animals outside their natural habitat.
