Social Action for Empowerment and Research (SAFER) is a registered non-governmental organisation was founded in 12.07.2002 on a simple but profound principle: to extend a helping hand to the most downtrodden people, marginalised groups vulnerable members and weaker sections of our society for their sustinable and equal development and to conserve our environment and natural resources for well being of present and future generation of our society. Our founder J.James, who is social worker with joining hands of social concern people, envisioned an organisation that would serve as a ‘Social Agent for Sustainable Development’. With a strong commitment to social and environmental justice and a passion for making a difference, they set out to turn this vision into as reality.
Mr.J.James is a Post Graduate in Social Work in 1998 and dedicated and committed social worker has good exeperience in social work at grassroots level. He is catalyst for transformative change and more equitable future for all.
Mrs.I.Lilly Jakulin is a Post Graduate in Commerce and has working experience in teaching at schools. She is interested in social work at grassroots level for welfare of children, women and started her career as treasurer of organisation in 2013.
Mr.A.Velankanni is a graduate and farmer involving agricultural activities. He is an active member in farmer association. He is interested in rural development and joined as a member in our team
